El Perelló is a town where the festival is part of its essence
El Perelló is a town where the festival is part of its essence. The festive events that are celebrated are:
Fallas: The population has two commissions, integrated into the Fallera Local Board of Sueca, "Poble Vell" and "Tró i Flama". Throughout the Fallas week several acts take place both in the two houses and in the streets, among which the following stand out: La Plantá, Pasacalles, La Ofrenda and La Cremà.
San Pascual Bailón: The patron's festival takes place on May 17. Although it is no longer a holiday, in the afternoon the procession that runs through the streets of El Perelló takes place.
Virgen del Carmen: A town of maritime origin such as El Perelló, also pays tribute to this Virgin. On the night of July 15, the sailors carry out a pilgrimage by the sea that departs from the facilities of the Nautical Club. On the afternoon of the 16th, the image of the Virgin goes through the streets of El Perelló in a procession.
9 de Octubre: Like many other towns in the Community, El Perelló celebrates this day with a series of institutional events, among which the Civic Procession that runs through the streets of the town stands out.
Fiestas de la Purísima: These are the festivals par excellence. They take place in early December. On December 5, the designation of El Perelló as a Minor Local Entity is commemorated with a series of institutional events. On December 8, the day of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated, which begins with the Rosary of Dawn that runs through the streets of the town, in the afternoon the procession takes place. Within the programming of these festivals it is necessary to highlight the entry of Moros y Cristianos that, little by little, is taking a lot of roots among the perelloneros.
